“For Vixens Who’ve Considered Homicide When the Video Was Too Much“, is a new off Broadway Musical Comedy, starring Ex-Video Vixen Melyssa Ford herself. A live theatrical experience written by J Kyle Manzay, uses satire to explore the world of Hip-Hop music and reality television shows. The story centers on an aspiring video vixen who wants to escape her boring existence with her overly religious single father and become the biggest star the industry has seen. In the end this vixen realizes that stardom comes at a cost. This play was hilarious and gripping from beginning to end.
Starting off a bit rocky due to microphone technicalities, this hinderance did nothing to slow down the cast of brilliant actors and actresses. An off broadway play definitely worthy of Broadway credentials, the performance of leading lady Jupitr is simply spectacular. Produced by Melyssa Ford and Love and Hip Hop’s Yandy Smith, you won’t be disappointed by this story plot. Expect the unexpected as this performance is a eye opener about the crude world of the entertainment industry, but lighted by humor.
The vocals and choreography of the cast doesn’t hurt and the one liners will have you laughing the whole show. Tyler Perry watch out!
Good Luck to the Director, Cast and Crew as they attempt to get this comedy musical to the big lights.
