It is that time of year where we spend time with our families and prepare ourselves for the new year. With resolutions and promises we look to have a better year than the present. For me this upcoming year means chasing dreams, giving a little bit more to life than I did this go around , it signifies a new beginning, a fresh start.
Not to say starting over can’t come at any time but there is just something about “the beginning” that says go, this is it. Life is about all of our decisions and the starts and finishes, the relationships that we cultivate with our children and others. This year I want it to be a year of more accomplishments , more encouragement.
Our children are our future let us all be more invested in their beginnings, pushing them to be go-getters and finishers. We are the light behind their smiles, we are the introduction to what their lives may be like, so with this new year lets us introduce new things and opportunities to our children and ourselves.
What the new year signifies is growth, change and evolution. What is it about the new year that gets us all excited, only to fizzle half way through?
We should learn to place our expectations on things that truly matter. Goal setting and prioritizing are important. We are the continuous and consistent examples for our children and the beginning of the year is showing that ok maybe last year wasn’t the greatest but with a change in mindset and with renewed energy you can put your mind into crossing over the finish line and reach all of your goals.
This is not the end but the beginning of something great. In these coming days lets us be a better example than we were last year and put our best foot forward.
Cheers to the greatest year ahead. Wishing you all a great start to a new year.
